A Fiesta Day

Well it was a celebrating day for sure!! The family that the Kluge's have formed a relationship with from San Miguel had a birthday boy today and so they rented the playground at KFC out for about 30 neighborhood kids and 10 or 12 adults. It is the NICEST playground I've ever seen. Up at the top amid all the slides and such is this mini soccer field. The kids absolutely love it. We rented the place from 2-5pm and unless you called for the kids you hardly saw them. When Randy pulled into the restaurant in his Defender there were kids peeking their heads out of every window and people sitting on laps, some of them three laps high. It was so much fun! Gustavo's sixth birthday I think was a hit...Randy and Melissa had gotten a pinatta (sp??) filled it with confeti (the word they use for candy here) and we had kids diving all over the floor to get that. There was birthday cake and cookies and chicken, mashed potatoes, and drinks all around. It was terrific.

Then tonight we took Dilcia out for her birthday. The following are some pictures you'll enjoy seeing. It's been a fun day watching some people delight in and enjoy some things we've taken for granted for a long time. If nothing else taking for granted the fact that people have made us feel special. Enjoy the pics...
